Privacy legislation

- Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP) establishes rules for collecting, using, disclosing, and accessing information or records in the possession of a public body.
- Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) establishes rules for the collection, use, disclosure, and access to personal information during the course of commercial activities.
