Ina's Story

After two total knee replacements and two hip surgeries (including one replacement) in a 10-year span, Ina was pain free and ready to get back to her outdoor pursuits. But her joints were weak and all four of the surgeries required physiotherapy as she rehabilitated.

“The main reason why I chose surgery was to continue with active life. I wanted to hike, I wanted to ski later in my life.”

Ina went on to receive physiotherapy up to twice a week, gaining her strength and confidence. Now, at 76 years old, Ina is still able to downhill and cross country ski, hike and play golf on a regular basis.

“I believe that without physiotherapy I would not be able to do what I am doing.”

Helping you stay active through all stages of life

Aging may take a toll on the body, but that doesn’t have to mean that it’s time to stop your active lifestyle. Illness, injury or major surgery might force you to take a break from your active life, but a physiotherapist can help you safely get back to it.

A physiotherapist can be your health-care partner as you take on the challenge of returning to your active life. Seniors and older adults can feel confident in their activities with the guidance and knowledge of a physiotherapist.
