Sam's Story

Sam Kelts, a professional saddle bronc rider, has been getting bucked off horses for as long as he can remember. Raised in a rodeo family and competing in 100 rodeos a year, Sam has seen his fair share of injuries. “There’s a lot of major injuries in rodeo, but there’s a lot of wear and tear on a guy too. In our sport we don’t get to take time off if we want to make money.”

Sam’s shoulder injuries have been the worst for his career. Eager to get back on his horse, Sam started physiotherapy as soon as possible. “For having three shoulder surgeries, I have really good range of
motion. I probably have 90%.”

Restoring Function

The drive to excel and perform at your best is shared by many people. Part of the competitive spirit is pushing your limits, a habit that can often be accompanied by injuries. A physiotherapist can help you recover from muscle soreness, a broken bone, or major surgery.

Physiotherapists use a variety of techniques and approaches to maximize movement, strength, function, and the ability to compete.

Whether you are a professional athlete or playing a friendly pickup game on weekends, a physiotherapist can help you recover from injury and get you back to doing the activities you love.
