2020/2021 Fee Schedule
Council has agreed to no fee changes for the 2020/2021 registration year. The fee schedule will remain the same as the 2019/2020 year.
Election of Officers and Appointment of Member for Executive Committee
Karin Eldred was acclaimed as the Council President for this term. Simon Cooke was acclaimed as the Vice-President. In addition to the President and Vice President, Christina van der Lugt was appointed to the Executive Committee as the Member at Large.
The Awards Committee is a committee of Council to consider applications for funding and nominations for awards. Grant Fedoruk was appointed and will join Dennis Horrigan on the Awards Committee.
Council has made the decision to discontinue the agreement with Ignitephysio. Physiotherapy Alberta and Ignitephysio have had a successful partnership since 2015 which was initiated with development of the online networking platform. This platform was developed to support, mentor, facilitate communication and share evidence informed resources within the physiotherapy community in Alberta and beyond. We wish the Ignite platform continued success in engaging and supporting the physiotherapy profession across Canada.
2019 Annual Report
The 2019 Annual Report was approved by Council.
Physiotherapy Alberta has developed a policy for emergency registration that will expedite the registration process to the extent legislation allows in order to maintain an adequate supply of the physiotherapist workforce in an emergency should it ever be required in the future. Council approved the application fee would be waived for registrants should an emergency register be needed.
